Clarence S. 'Larry' Potvin, Jr., 87 of Liverpool passed away on Sunday at the VA Hospital. He was born June 20, 1924 in Tupper Lake, NY son of Clarence and Mary Potvin, Sr. Larry graduated from LeMoyne College and was a probation officer for Onondaga County for over 30 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Liverpool Knights of Columbus, Nocturnal Adoration Society, a Colonel in the NY State Guard and was a loving father and devout family man.
Surviving are two sons Christopher Potvin, Liverpool, Michael Potvin, Lakewood, IL, a daughter Cathy Peters, Atlanta, GA, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren,two sisters Jane Dumoulin, Plattsburgh and Anne Dywan, Massena.
Services will be held on Saturday 9:30am at Immaculate Heart Of Mary. Burial will take place in St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Tupper Lake. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
