Clarence Anthony Alexander Lucas "Happy", 23, of Syracuse, passed away Friday.
He is survived by his adoptive parents, Wendy and David Lucas, birth parents Sylvia Ricks and Mikel Alexander; brothers and sisters Robert, Tyrone, Corina, Sophia, Michael, Danyeal Porter, Mikel, Rashida, William, Georgeanna, Michael, Tyrice, Micah, Jamar, Tatiana, Shebra, and Danylia. Grandparents, Herbert and Carol Lucas, Carol White, Laurette Potter, Leslie Blount, and Elijah Ricks; Aunts and Uncles, Mariann Lucas, Michelle and Jeremy Zehr, Susan and Edward McDermott, Wayne and Brenda Blount, Melza White, Matthew Blount, Jennifer Blount, Martha and Adam Petrie; Many cousins to include Theresa, CJ, Lucas, Josiah, Jonas, Haley, Christopher, Alayna, Addison, Lila, Logan, Lyndsey and many more family members. Special friend, Brenda Williams who was like a mother to Clarence in recent years and her children, Kirk, Jaysonya, Johndell,
Cle'tisha, Rakira, James, Kanaiah, Jamaren, and Takara.
The Lucas family wants to express their gratitude to all who loved Clarence and called him friend. They especially want to thank everyone who tried to save his life including friends, ambulance staff, doctors and nurses at University Hospital. He was dearly loved and worth saving, but God was calling him home.
Services will be Friday,5 pm at Grace Covenant Church. Calling hours will be Friday from 3-5 pm, at the church, before services.
Contributions may be made to Hillside Children's Center, 215 Wyoming Street, Syracuse, NY 13204 or Tully Community Youth Center, C/O Village of Tully, PO Box 1028 Tully, NY 13159. Donations to these organizations will greatly help both foster children all across New York state and teens in the Tully community.
