Chris McCandless, 37, of Cicero, passed away on Thursday at Upstate Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was born on June 16, 1974 son of Lucy and Byron McCandless. Chris was a graduate of CNS High School, Class of '92 and was an avid golfer. He worked at Cool Waters Pool & Spa.
Surviving are his son Jakob, parents, brother David (Janel) and maternal grandparents, Ken and Connie Crounse.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will be held on Tuesday 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Regional Oncology Center (ROC), 705 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
