Christopher Hughes, most recently of Baldwinsville, NY, took his last adventure on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Chris was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, a fact he loved sharing with everyone.
He graduated with the class of 2009 from Mexico Central Schools in NY.
Christopher was a hard-core Green Bay Packers fan. He even went so far as to wear his cheesehead gear to the Buffalo Bills versus Houston Texans game in Buffalo in 2015. He was an avid pool player and a former member of the local American Poolplayers Association (APA) league. He traveled to Las Vegas on three separate occasions to compete in the APA World Pool Championships as well as assisted with coaching the junior league members.
He enjoyed the family camp on weekends and playing video games on his computer while bantering with his friends on Discord, a social platform. Christopher loved thrills: amusement parks, motorcycles, anything that gave him some adrenaline. He was the type of person who was “all in” when he found a person or a hobby he cared about and was loyal to a fault. He could make anyone laugh, and he had a goofiness about him that drew everyone in.
His laugh was so infectious you would find yourself laughing for no other reason than because he was. To say he will be missed is an understatement, but his memories will live on.
Christopher is survived by his mother Theresa Harrig, sister Chelsae (Jesse) Hughes, grandparents Richard and Patricia Harrig, uncles James (Sue) Harrig, Richard (Nora) Harrig along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will keep his memory alive.
Calling hours will be held Friday, May 24, from 4 pm -7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY.
