Christopher "Crit" Harris, age 47, a resident of Syracuse, previously of Fishkill, died peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2005. He was born on November 10, 1957. Crit will be remembered for his kindness and gentleness. He loved his beer and enjoyed nature, animals, cooking and he made everyone laugh. He was predeceased by his mother, Katherine Prince, his brother Terry Prince and his life partner, Karen Sagert.
Survivors include his son Joshua Schoffstall of Utah, his father Charles Harris and wife Virginia, his twin sister Tina Shevetone and husband Frank, sisters Dianne Harris, Katherine Schlaffer and husband Joe, Cynthia Thomas and Husband Alan, Mary Ellen Labate, Katherine Berrerios and husband Malcolm, brothers, Jay Harris, John Harris, Charles Prince and wife Sherry, Daynor Prince and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 26 at 11 AM in St. Mary's Church, Fishkill, NY.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Dutchess County ASPCA, 636 Violet Ave., Hyde Park, NY 12538.
