Chester C. Dibello

Chester C. DiBello, 90, of North Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2023, at Crouse Hospital. Chester was born in Syracuse, NY on December 24, 1933 son of the late Cosimo and Anna DiBello. Chester retired from Local 31 Painters Union in Syracuse after many years. He was a proud, witty, comical, and generous man that loved his family, extended family and friends. He cherished all the good times he spent with them. He will be greatly missed by all. Chester was predeceased by his siblings, Nicholas DiBello, John DiBello, Cecelia Oppedisano and Anthony DiBello.

He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine (Carulli) DiBello, son, Joseph (Darleen) DiBello, daughter, Cheryl (Andrew) Gacek, step-son, Arnold (Sheila) Allen, step-daughter, Brenda Cohen, 4 grandchildren, Ian, Gianna, Lisa, Sara, one great-grandchild, Braia, sister, Suzanne (John) DiMento, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 2, 2024 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11am at Epiphany Parish Church, 1001 Tulip Street, Liverpool, NY. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or the Epilepsy Foundation in Chester's name.
