Cheryl L. Poirier

Cheryl L. Poirier, 66, of Red Creek, went home to be with the Lord, on December 16, 2021. Cheryl was born in Syracuse, New York on December 22, 1954 to Dorothy Sinemus.

Cheryl retired from Lockheed Martin. She loved her family, friends, and her dog, Molly. In her free time, she loved birds, and watching them at the feeders, camping, traveling, gardening, crafting, and making cards. She loved the Lord, and reading the word of the Lord. Every morning Cheryl read her devotionals. She spent her life sharing the gospel, and lived her life with purpose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Lewie Sinemus; and a nephew, Justin Baxter.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Patrick M. Poirier; two sons, Patrick (Angie) Poirier, Jr., and Matthew (Kristy) Hutchins; her brother, Ron (Kathleen) Baxter; a nephew Jamie (Nikki) Baxter; and a great-niece, Avery Rose Baxter.

Family and friends may call on Monday, December 20th, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at New Comer Cremation & Funerals, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 21st at 10 AM at the Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Red Creek Fire Department, 7026 Main Street, Red Creek, NY, 13143.
