Brian D. Shore, 50, of Syracuse, passed away.
He was born July 25, 1961 in Syracuse the son of Carol Shore. He graduated from Liverpool High School. He recently was employed at Mohegan Manor, Baldwinsville. His career in the food industry spanned over 30 years, including owning his own restaurant, Kettle Lakes in Tully from 2000-07. He also worked at Arad Evans Inn, Papa Gallo, Century Club and many other restaurants. For the past 12 years Brian was a Certified Executive Chef (CEC).
He was a member, former President, Vice President, Board of Director of the American Culinary Federation, Syracuse Chapter, for 20 years. Brian was Executive Chef & participant of the Red Cross Great Chef's Dinner for many years. He won Chef of the Year of the Syracuse ACF Chapter in March of 1998.
He was a member of the Free Masons. Brian enjoyed playing his harmonica, flying radio control airplanes, fishing, playing cards and loved his home and many pets.
Surviving are his fiancé Katie Garofalo and her entire family, mother Carol Shore, daughter, Megan Shore, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
Memorial services will be held at Mohegan Manor, 58 Oswego St., Baldwinsville on Sunday at 1pm. There are no calling hours.
