Charlotte L. Tarbell
May 9, 1936 — February 25, 2019
Charlotte Tarbell, 82, of the Onondaga Nation Eel Clan passed away peacefully at home on Monday February 25th, 2019.
Charlotte was born on the Onondaga Nation and graduated from Haskell in Lawrence, Kansas.
Charlotte was married to Spin Tarbell in October, 1954, had 4 children and returned to work in 1966 for the Travelers Insurance Company. She retired after 28 years, only to come out of retirement and work for the NAJTPA helping so many people to continue their education or receive job training. She loved to travel, it didn't matter where we were going, as long as she was coming along.
She was an award winning quilter, that she took up relatively late in life. Charlotte enjoyed following the athletic careers of her children and her granddaughters. She rarely missed a Lemoyne softball game. She was an avid NY Yankee fan.
She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Tarbell.
She is survived by her Daughter, Wanda (Rick) Tarbell; Two Sons, Robert (Sherry) Tarbell, Fred Tarbell; Five Grandchildren, Annie (Tony), John, Jessica, Willis, Bethany; Two Great Grandchildren, Jonavon and Francesca; former Daughter-In-Law, Trina; Brother, Gary; Two Sisters, Rosalie and Cathy; As well as several nieces and nephews.
Our family wishes to thank Charlotte's exceptional caregivers that enabled her to remain in her home. Michelle, Mary, Joyce, Sharon & Dr. Eva Gregory, also the band of angels from Hospice of CNY.
Visitation and services will be private per Charlotte's wishes and she will be laid to rest on the Onondaga Nation.
