Charlotte Ann Sweeney, 89 of Baldwinsville, passed away on Thursday. She was born on August 12, 1924 in Hoopsten, IL daughter of the late Herb and Margery Neathery. She was a graduate of McMurray College and attended Chicago School of Mines. Charlotte was a devoted grandmother and rabid republican, who gave up a promising acting career to marry the love of her life, Edward Sweeney. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward, sister, Norma Cox and brother, Herbert Neathery.
Surviving are her children: A. Tyrrell (Stephen) Ecker, Martin (Mary) Sweeney, 2 grandchildren, Shelby (Nick) Dusart, Molly Sweeney, a great grandson on the way, Owen Tyrrell, her sister, Mary Sue Reagan, sister-in-law, Lynn Neathery, along with many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday 10am at St. Augustine's Church, Baldwinsville.
Contributions may be made to the Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps.
