Charles H. Schauwecker

Charles H. Schauwecker, 79, of North Syracuse, NY, and formerly of New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away on Sunday. He was born in Amherst, MA and attended Florida State University where he studied architecture. He relocated to North Syracuse in 1970 and retired from Crouse-Hinds. "Bud" enlisted in the Army in 1949 soon after he met his wife, Sue Ann Hill, the daughter of a well-known southern family in New Smyrna Beach. Bud was predeceased by his wife Sue Ann in 1987 and his brother, David, in 2006. Bud enjoyed carpentry and racing. He always had an ongoing project with these two hobbies. His sense of humor will be missed.
Surviving are his wife of 16 years, Nancy Schauwecker, four children, Carole Le Beau of Manlius, Linda Revoir of Central Square, Robert Schauwecker of West Monroe, and Charles H. Schauwecker, Jr. of Weedsport. Also surviving are his cousin, Nancy Wilder of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
