Charles Harvey Jr.

Charles Harvey Jr., 92 years young, of North Syracuse, passed away with loved one by his side on December 11, 2021at Upstate at Community General Hospital. Charles was born in Warm Springs, Georgia on July 12, 1929. Charles was a member of the 82D Airborne Division for four years. Charles retired from Upstate Hospital, as Forman in the physical plant division for 38 years. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with family and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Charles "Charley" Harvey and Bessie A. Campbell; two brothers Robert and James "Jose" Harvey; and sister Doris Grant.

He is survived by three daughters, Sandra G. (Nikita) Crawley, Stephanie D. (Daryll A.) Jones , Sheila R. (Lindsey) Mcintosh; two sons, Stephen A. (Jennifer) Harvey, Samuel R. Harvey; two sisters, Alice A. Cameron and Sandra Redding; Best Friend, Alfonso Z. Overton; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. He was a proud member of the American Legion. Donations in Charles memory may be made to the American Legion Post #787, 5575 Legionnaire Dr., Cicero, NY 13039.
