Charles H. Warren, 88, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday at the VA Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on July 13, 1924 in Syracuse, son of Charles A. and Ruth E. Warren. He served as a SGT. in the Army 10th Mountain Division during WW II. He received the Purple Heart Bronze Star along with multiple ribbons. He was a member and a Eucharistic Minister at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, he was a member of the American Legion, the Disabled American Vets. He retired after 37 years as manger at Chase Bank and worked as a crossing guard for the Town of Salina for 13 years. He was predeceased by his son, Paul D and daughter-in-law, Mary E.
Surviving are his wife, Florence of 67 years, 6 sons, Charles S., Mark T. (Cindy), Keith M., Scott P. (Teri), Timothy T (Gina), daughter-in-law, Mary D., 12 grandchildren, James (Amy), David (Samantha), Staff SGT. Michael (Reyna), Samantha, Lucas (Sara), Christopher, Jessica, Joseph, Corey, Connor, Morgan & Riley, 5 great grandchildren, Matthew Evan, Jacob, Carter & Clara, brother, Hadley E. Warren, sister, Carolyn (John) Floor, 2 sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Angelo) LaVerne, Marilyn Root, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 10am Saturday. Burial will take place at Onondaga Veterans Cemetery.
