Charles H. VanDyke Sr., 76 of North Syracuse, passed away Monday. He retired from Plan and Print Systems in 2006. He was a member of the Syracuse Moose Lodge 625 for over 50 years. He was predeceased by his sister, Joyce in 1995, mother, Ethel in 1998, brother, Roger in 2000 and son, William (Gut) in 2006.
He is survived by his daughter, Laurie, with whom he resided; sons, Charles Jr. (Paula) and Edward (Katie), his former wife, best friend and Mother of his children, Joanne Hale of N. Syracuse and his sister, Marcella Ryan of Syracuse; six grandchildren, great granddaughter, Rayne; eleven step grand and great grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of your choice.
