Charles F. Frateschi, 70, of Lakeland passed away Wednesday after a brief illness. Born in Syracuse, and an 8 year member of the Naval Reserves, Charles retired from International Paper in Oswego where he was a Draftsman for 22 years. He loved family gatherings, ocean cruises, war history, movies and holiday decorating.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Ann Rose (Mulcahey) Frateschi, two sons; Charles Jr. (Robyn) Frateschi and Craig (Bonnie Baker) Frateschi, a daughter; Michelle Frateschi, a brother, Francis Frateschi of Largo, Florida, a sister; Gina "Lillian" Frateschi of Delray Beach, Florida, 3 grandchildren; Paul, Amanda and Kaitlynn, an uncle; Robert Buckley of Chittenango and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday at 5 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be private. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main Street.
