Charles F. "Charlie" Joy, 82, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born on December 14, 1931 in Oswego, son of Howard and Nellie Joy. He served in the U.S. Navy and was last employed as a printer/Lithographer at Beyers Printing in Mexico. Charlie was also a member of the Tin Can Sailor Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Janet Mary Feeney in 1992.
Surviving are his wife, Joan of 62 years, 2 sons, David (Joan), Edward Joy, 3 grandchildren, Jeff, Kevin & Patrick.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Syracuse Rescue Mission.
