Charles "Tuna" Learry

Charles "Tuna" passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.
Charles was born on February 24, 1941 to the late Addie Ford and Charlie Learry in Bean City, Florida. He attended public school in Syracuse. His life's vocation included establishing his own painting company (Tuna's Painting) in addition to masonry.
He was recognized for restoring a national monument in Cortland, NY. He spent 25 years as a skilled cross-country truck driver. He also graduated from Phillips School of Cosmetology. He loved fishing, thus his nickname "Tuna". His other past times included cooking, watching all TV sports, and listening to music.
Charles leaves to mourn, his wife Patricia Learry of 39 years. His children, Elijah, Princella, Kimberly, Tashia, Trinisa, Charnell (Emmanuel) Flowers and Charles "Deuce" Learry. He also leaves 33 grandchildren, 17 great grand-children. Brothers; Omanii Abdullah-Grace, Jake Ford, Henry Charles Leary. Sisters; Roslyn Grace-Ford, Luvette (Ivey) Conerly, Mordean Leary. One Aunt, Alice Dismuke and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 19 from 10-12PM with services to follow immediately after at Southern Missionary Baptist Church located at 3143 Midland Avenue in Syracuse, NY. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Repast will follow at the Southern Missionary Baptist Church.
