Charles A. Brown, 64, died Tuesday at his home in N. Syracuse. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was the retired owner of the North Syracuse Train Shop, which he opened 25 years ago. Charlie was pre-deceased by his son, Peter A. Brown and his parents, Charles S. and C. Marie Brown. Charlie was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and attended Syracuse University for accounting and engineering. He was an avid collector and noted authority of American Flyer and S-scale trains. He is Survived by his son, Charles (Kathy) and his granddaughters, Samantha and Sarah, of Syracuse, as well as several aunts and uncles. Funeral Mass will be 10AM Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Church, N. Syracuse. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with his family on Friday from 4 – 7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home.
