Charlene Works, 45 of Marathon, FL., died as a result of an auto accident in Florida. She is predeceased by her father, John William Mertens, Sr.
She is survived by her fiance', Bryan Smith and her step-son, Rusty Smith. She will be missed by her mother, Ellen Mertens, a sister, Beverly (Jeffrey) Kohanski and a brother, John (Caroline) Mertens Jr., all of Syracuse, a nephew and numerous nieces.
Services will be Saturday, 9AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Private burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with her family on Friday from 4-7PM, at the funeral home.
Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to her family.
