Charlene Joyce Weed

Charlene Joyce Weed, 84, passed away July 26, 2023. Born on October 31, 1938 in Syracuse NY, she was the daughter of Charles and Claire Brilbeck Weed. She resided part of her life in Syracuse, graduating from Eastwood High School, Onondaga Community College and Maryville College. In 1996, she moved to Cleveland, NY. She was the village historian for ten years at the Cleveland Historical Society, and was a member of the Halfshire Historical Society, Richland, NY. She was employed by the O.C.C Criminal Justice Department for over 30 years and a member of the CSEA. Charlene wrote history books entitled, "Reflections of Cleveland."

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Ronald and David; sister, Beverly Weed McCarthy; and parents, Charles and Claire Brilbeck Weed.

Charlene is survived by her niece, Lisa (Kevin Caza) McCarthy and nephew, Patrick McCarthy.

Burial will be held privately at White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charlene's memory to the Humane Society of Central N.Y.
