Cathy A. Reakes, 56, passed away on Saturday after a long battle with breast cancer.
She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister and aunt. She put her friends and family first and always made the best cookies
Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Kenneth Reakes, Jr.; daughters, Amanda Bendura and Megan Reakes; parents, Kenneth and Nancy Smith; sisters, Belinda Blanck and Susan Trajanov; brother, Kenneth Smith Jr. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will take place Wednesday from 10 AM to 1 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse, with a service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Susan G. Komen's fight for the cure in Cathy's honor.
