Catherine E. Wood

Catherine E. Wood, 98 of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Born in Fulton on October 6, 1924 to the late Webster and Olive Hawley.
She was well known for her needle work and her stories of family history.
She is survived by her children, Jean Wood, Glenn (Joan) Wood, Allen Wood and Amy Wood; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her husband in 2010, Lester Wood and her son in 2020, Norman Wood.
Heaven has gained another angel. This amazing woman would have been 99 years young on October 6, however, she was not excited about that number because "It sounds too old!"
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY 13212 on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 10-12pm. Funeral service will follow at 12pm.

Burial will take place at Mexico Village Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
