Catherine (Pandelly) Joseph, 96, of Fayetteville, passed away on September 19, 2022 at her home surrounded be her loving family. Catherine was born in Syracuse, on September 14, 1926 to William and Constantina Pandelly.
Catherine (AKA "Kay") and her husband Gus were born to Greek Immigrants and thoroughly enjoyed their responsibilities as 2nd generation Americans with a deep and abiding sense of family. This is where their belief in "it takes a village" originated, whether it be the Greek cookies she made every year (that Gus hand delivered for her) or the many open houses they held welcoming all through their front doors which included those who adopted Kay as their "2nd Mom". Catherine's special smile and her greetings of "Hey, where's my hug!" and "Gimme a kiss!" will always be remembered.
She is predeceased by her husband Gus, brother George Pandelly and her dearest cousins Chris Pandelly and Helen (Pandelly) Armatas.
She is survived by her children, Sotiri Joseph, Alexis Joseph, Gregory Joseph, Connie Joseph, Bill (Nella) Joseph, 3 grandchildren; Heather (Mike) Hadaway, Gregory Joseph, Garner Sammons, 4 great grandchildren; Dylan, Hannah, Josh & Asher and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday October 1st from 2-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
