Catherine Coleman

Catherine "Birdie" Coleman, age 72, resident of Syracuse for many years, passed away July 23rd at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.

Catherine was born November 5, 1948 in Orlando, FL to Lucious and Pinkie Paul.

Catherine and her family moved to Syracuse in 1965. She was a homemaker for over 50 years. Catherine liked to watch her "stories" and Judge Judy, listen to music and most importantly, she loved to spend time with her family. Catherine enjoyed a life full of love, laughter and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Catherine was predeceased by her parents and late husband, Shead Coleman Sr.

She is survived by her brothers Arthur (Hazel) and Lucious (Gwen), sisters Claudia (Robert) and Gloria, her children Anthony (Sandra), Sheldon, Shead Jr (Bianca) and Michelle, her ten grandchildren Tashaunna, Anthony, Romaeshia, Shead III, Azia, Daysia, Jahadee, Nyzira, Tabitha and Layla, her 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may call from 12:00pm to 1:00pm Wednesday, July 28th at New Comer Cremations & Funeral, 705 N. Main Street, Syracuse. A memorial service will immediately follow calling hours. There will be a luncheon to follow the service at Rize Events, 636 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool.

Interment of Catherine will be at the convenience of the family.
