Catherine Chrisogonou

With “Heavy Hearts”, we will miss our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-auntie. She passed away on September 5, 2024 at Loretto Nursing Home. Catherine was born on March 21, 1935 in Scranton, PA to Mary and George Chrisogonou. Catherine had two rules in life, cherishing her precious family and working for Kemper Insurance for over 40 years, prior to retiring as a collection clerk. She loved watching the New York Yankees, New York Giants and the New York Rangers. She frequently attended Syracuse Church Games. Leaving behind to cherish her memory is her son, Steve (Bonnie) Alward; grandchildren, Brock (Sarah) Alward, Sophie (James) Brennan; great-grandchildren, Lucy Alward, Ben Alward; nephew, George Chrisogonou; great-nieces, Kim Chrisogonou-Witt and Amy Chrisogonou; great-nephew, David Chrisogonou and grand niece, Isabella Elizabeth. A special thank you to Mark, Rachel and Cheryl at Loretto. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212 on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 4-7pm. Funeral Service will follow at 7pm.
