Catherine F Biel

Catherine F. Biel, 70, of Syracuse passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving children and siblings, on January 8, 2019.

She will forever be remembered as a kind, generous, fierce, and beautifully vibrant woman who was adored by her family and friends. She regularly enjoyed out-fishing anyone who cared to challenge her, and could always be found hunting for candy and her glasses.

She told stories that made you wish you had been there, and when she laughed, you couldn't help but laugh with her. No matter what this world threw at her, she always kept a smile on her face and a joke on her lips, and if she loved you, she made sure you knew it.

Though we know that her loss will be felt deeply by everyone who was blessed to have her in their lives, we hope that there will be fond smiles as you remember her, because that is exactly what she would have wanted.

Catherine is preceded in death by her husband James E. Biel; mother, Catherine (Lang) Hart; father, Raymond F. Hart; stepmother, Janet Hart; brothers Raymond E. Hart and Rex Hart; and her precious Godson, Mitchell Hart. She is survived by her daughters, Tracey Cole, Tara (Corey) Daley, and Trista (John-Paul) Anthony; and her favorite son, Raymond Biel; grandchildren, Trista, Tiffany, James, Kyle, Kori, Nathan, and Tristan; two great-grandchildren, Aaron, and Katherine; a sister Carolyn (Richard) Ryan; brothers Robert Hart, Roy (Gabriela) Hart, and Randy (Lori) Hart; stepsisters Jodi Tooly, Lori (Terry) Willson, Beth (Warren) Putnam, Sue (Dino) Del Nero; Godchildren, Shannon, Brielle & Michael, along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 1pm, Monday, January 14 at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, NY, followed by a Celebration of Life at 5 pm (Location to be Announced).
