Catherine A. "Katie" McGregor, 78, of Cicero, passed away Saturday. She was a life long resident of Syracuse. She retired from Crouse Hospital after 15 years of service. She was also employed by Syracuse Typesetting for 23 years. Katie was the last surviving sibling of 15 children. She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn "Mac" McGregor and long time companion, Robert Mitchell.
Katie is survived by her children, James (Donna) McGregor, Janet (Lee) Holtzclaw, Carol (Tim) Mathewson, Laura (Chuck) Pratt; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her companions three children and 4 grandchildren;
Services will be Wednesday 10 a.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
