Carolynne M. Fusaro Draiss, 84, of Liverpool, New York, passed away peacefully and entered into God's hands on December 12, 2024, in Syracuse. Born on October 29, 1940, Carolynne lived a life marked by love, independence, and devotion to her family and predeceased by her parents, Virginia Conley and Frank Fusaro.
She graduated from Eastwood High School and studied Environmental Science at Syracuse University. Carolynne was an assistant personnel manager at CE Chapell's and then went on to build a career as an administrative assistant at P&C. She also owned Carolynne's Heirlooms, which sold antiques and collectibles. She was a longtime communicant of Liverpool First United Methodist Church and a member of the choir, where she found community and spiritual fulfillment.
Carolynne cherished her time spent with family above all else. She had a passion for scrapbooking, books, and cardmaking but found her greatest joy in creating memories with her loved ones. Her warmth and care left an everlasting mark on all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters Lynda (Scott) Brown, Kathy (Bill) Evans, and Debbie Dunn; grandchildren Jacquelyn (Jon) Law, Allison Chase, Peter (Rebecca) Penizotto, Alistair Dunn, Christian Dunn, Sophia Dunn; Jake Evans, Alex Evans, and Nick Brown; and great-grandchildren Milania Law, Madelyn Chase, Teagan Chase, Eleanor Chase, Luca Penizotto, and Lola Penizotto; and sisters Kathy (Herb) Smith, Suzanne (Marty) Lynch, Patty (Bernie) Yacovella, Maureen (Gary) Eno and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carolynne also shared a special bond with her longtime best friend, Lorainne O'Connor.
Private services will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Carolynne's memory in honor of her sisters, Sue and Patty, and her granddaughter, Sophia. Click here to donate
