Carolyn G. Weegar
July 11, 1933 — April 28, 2023
Carolyn Hiller Weegar, 89, of North Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are her children; Judy (Edward) Gridley, Ronald (Jennifer) Weegar, Deborah (Clark) Graves, Sandra Nelepovitz, Marjorie (Robert) Fennelly and Pamela (Jeffrey) Hyde; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
She is also predeceased by her loving husband, David.
Carolyn worked at General Electric, and retired after many years from Microwave Filter Co.
She enjoyed gardening, puzzles and attending Kenny Rogers concerts. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss their G.G. She was strong willed, independent and outspoken. She was known as the caregiver.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sunnyside Care Center for their care and support this last year of her life.
There will be a private ceremony for immediate family at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY 13212. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of CNY, 4915 W. Taft Road, N. Syracuse, NY 13088.
