Carolyn S. Kunego, 78, formerly of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday. She was born on February 9, 1936 daughter of the late Olaf and Agnes Stone. In her youth, Carolyn was a Roller Derby Queen, going by the name of Gypsy Stone. She worked in many places in a variety of fields. She was a devoted Christian full of fire for Jesus and had a great sense of humor. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Charles in 1986.
Surviving are her son Chad (Heather) Kunego, her daughter Jodi (George) Tork, 3 grandchildren, Jordan, Elizabeth & Richard, brother John Stone, 3 sisters, twins Beverly & Barbara and Kathy.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery in LeRoy, NY at the convenience of the family.
