Carolyn A. Brokhoff

Carolyn A. (Nicholas) Brokhoff, 63, of East Syracuse, grew her wings and flew to heaven on Tuesday at home surrounded by her family, after a battle with cancer. Carolyn was born on 6/5/48, grew up in Jamesville and graduated from Fabius Pompey Central School in 1966. Carolyn was a bartender at several local taverns, including Franks Country Roadhouse for a number of years.
Surviving are her mother: Irene VanNess, of Jamesville; Fiance' and life partner of 27 years, Daniel Gillson; daughters: Tammy Brokhoff, Danelle (William) Littleboy, Judy (Gregg) Granger and step daughter, Susan Gillson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, seven siblings, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 1 to 4 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to "Carolyn Brokhoff Benefit" and be sent to Key Bank Parish Office, PO Box 389, Parish, NY 13131.
There will be a benefit held on Carolyn's behalf on Saturday, May 5th at the VFW Post 9596, 6996 E. Taft Rd, East Syracuse, NY 13057. Proceeds will benefit unpaid expenses, GYN Cancer Research, and Hospice Care of CNY.
