Caroline R. Nugent

Caroline R. Nugent, 92, of Syracuse, passed away December 24, 2021. Caroline was born in Syracuse, New York on October 18, 1929 to Carmen and Ruth Peluso. Caroline retired from Peter Harris Clothes, Fayetteville, where she worked as a clerk. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time at the family camp in Phoenix; playing bingo at Bishop; and spreading her joy to all she encountered. Her laugh was contagious.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carroll Nugent Jr.; father, Carmen J. Peluso and mother, Ruth A. Kosbob.

She is survived by her two sons, Reginald C. Nugent, Chuck (Cammie) Nugent; daughter, Cynthia (Richard) Ackerman; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Rachel) Ackerman and Heather (Tom) Ackerman Gordon; two great grandchildren, Carly and Raelyn and their two loving cousins May and Christopher.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday- January 4, 2022 from 5-7PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. Funeral services will be held the following day at 10am with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
