Carol A. Short, 75, of Cicero, passed away August 28, 2023.
Carol was born in Niskayuna, New York on January 29, 1948 to the late Carlton and Ann Richard.
Carol had a strong, take charge yet loving personality. She volunteered at Sacred Heart providing meals for the homeless. She also previously worked for Loretto as a home health aide where she enjoyed caring for people. Recently, she loved being a member of the Cicero Senior Citizen Center where she would play cards and participate in various functions. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. Last but not least, she was the best friend, mother, grandmother, sister and wife anyone could have.
She is survived by her loving Husband, Steven Short; Son, Jason (Marcia) Short; Three Sisters, Diane (Michael) Donovan, Rosemary (Richard) Dewing, Patricia (Jim Thoresen) Richard; Two Grandchildren, Samantha Short and Jaylynn Short; Two Dogs, Reilly and Reggie and Cat, Kiki.
Visitation will take place on Friday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 8229 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY 13039. Inurnment to follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
