Carol A. (Kobus) O’Reilly passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those she loved on Monday May 13, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born in 1946 and grew up as the oldest of her three siblings. Carol was influenced by her family to be a loving and supportive woman, always giving her time to others which she would later incorporate into her own journey of motherhood. In 1964 she met the love of her life John while shopping at Chapels department store. She said she liked shopping there, but she liked John more. They married in 1967 and went on to raise a beautiful family of their own. As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. She would burst with pride over all of her children’s accomplishments both big and small. Carol then went on to be a grandmother of 11 beautiful grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The love she had for each and every one of them radiated off of her and was felt by everyone. In her free time she loved to bake, crochet, spend time at the casino, plant flowers, and most of all spend time with her adoring husband. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Carol is survived her loving husband of 57 years, John O’Reilly. Her four children, Kelly (John) Hakes, Kathy (Rob) Howard, John (Lori) O’Reilly, and Kim (Joe) Love. Her 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, as well as her three younger siblings, Bill (Francene) Kobus, David (Nancy) Kobus, and Elaine (Gary) Andrews.
