Carol Ann June (Burgmeier)

Carol Ann June (Burgmeier), of Phoenix, NY, completed her circle of life at Crouse Hospital June 7th 2024, just a stone's throw from where it all began only 71 short years ago. She whispered peacefully into the wind surrounded by her children and many who loved her, and whom she loved well.

Born in Syracuse, NY January 10th, 1953 to the joy of her amazing parents Lester and Barbara Burgmeier, she lived a life without regret - to the dismay of some; nonetheless, touching many people's hearts in a most endearing way along her path.

Carol graduated from Liverpool High School with the Class of '71 and started a family of her own in short order, showering her 3 children, and many others who called her mom, with a love and wisdom those whom experienced will not soon - or ever, forget.

After a well established career with Chase-Pitkin, she finished out her retirement with Syracuse Homes as a Dietary Aid. Along her way she made long lasting friendships - in and out of work, with kindred spirits whom reveled together with her in the secrets to a beautiful life.

Carol enjoyed creating unique stained glass works, appreciated the challenge of working with her hands and would often be found doing things outside of her wheelhouse many never find the confidence to attempt.

As a child of the 60's, the tranquil and mystic elements nature freely provides captivated her. Countless hours were spent together with friends and family in these settings as they cherished their time with one another.

Whether walking along a water's edge, relaxing to the sounds of a gentle rainstorm or sitting around a campfire sharing stories and roasting s'mores, her spirit's likely to join if you think of Carol in that moment.

Her Father, Lester Burgmeier, Jr. left us early in 2014 to set the table and was joined five short years later in 2019 by her first Niece, Pamela (Haseman) Brown, who was never one to shy away from giving Grandpa a helping hand.

Carol's survived by her Partner of over 30 years, Stan Anderson; Mother, Barbara Burgmeier; Sons, Matthew (Janell) June, Timothy (Audrey Sherman) June; Daughter, Rebecca June; Grandsons, Elijah Sherman, Jameson June; Granddaughter, Riley June; Sisters, Susan Haseman, Janet (Chris) Angyal; Brother, David (MaryBeth) Burgmeier, many nieces and nephews and her two pups Bailey and Finn.

Family and friends are encouraged to gather wearing their favorite tie dye, with a hearty appetite and fond memories, for her Celebration of Life on Friday, June 14th from 3-7pm at the Central Square American Legion (3301 Fulton Ave), where a service will commemorate her love, spirit and being.
