Carol Helen (Healy) Monahan , 67, of
Syracuse, passed away at home on Tuesday after a long bout with cancer. Born March 7, 1942 in Carthage, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Nancy Healy. She was a graduate of the Augustinian Academy in Carthage and Onondaga Community College with a degree in accounting. Carol had careers in the travel industry, real estate and retired from P.E.A.C.E. , Inc. She was an Avid reader and loved to spend time in her flower garden. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur B. Monahan in 1996.

Carol is survived by her brothers John and Donald Healy both of Syracuse, Joseph (Betty) Healy of Homestead, FL and David (Cindy) Healy of Star Lake; sisters, Harriett (Vernon) Peck of St. Petersburg, FL, Beverly VanVoorhis of Dallas, TX and Nancy (James) Conway of Minoa; a special nephew, Ronald Peck of Carthage; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday 9 a.m. at St. Lucy's Church, Syracuse. Burial will follow in the Veterans Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any contributions can be made in Carol's memory to Hospice of CNY or St. Lucy's Food Pantry.
