Carol L. Gawur, age 79 of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28, 2021 with her family by her side.
Carol was born May 20, 1941 in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Adelard and Hazel Legault. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Diane Harradine, and Leo Legault; and father and mother–in-law Mykola and Eva Gawur.
Carol is survived by her loving daughters, Dawn Gawur and Lynda (Thomas) Stoddard; granddaughter, Lily Stoddard; former husband, Bohdan Gawur; brother and sister-in-law; several nieces, nephews and close family friends.
She worked for over 50 years as a hairdresser at several Syracuse beauty salons. Carol had a love for books and animals, especially her cat, Geo. She enjoyed spending summers at the family camp on the St. Lawrence River. Carol had a big heart and was willing to help all, especially the elderly. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

A private memorial service celebrating Carol's life will held at New Comer Crematins & Funerals, 705. N. Main Street, N. Syracuse. Carol will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
