Carol A. Fleming

Carol Ann Fleming, 65, of Clay passed away June 18 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Nobody ever fought a disease with more courage than Carol. Nobody ever loved their family more than Carol. Nobody was ever loved more by their family than Carol. She will be missed more than can be described by words alone. She was born on Jan. 20, 1943 in Utica, NY and was a 1961 graduate of Utica Catholic Academy. Carol retired from POMCO Health Insurance in 2000.
Carol wanted to share the following with all who knew and loved her: "I met and married my husband Paul 43 years ago in 1965. What a wonderful man he is. My family has been the most precious thing in the world. My children are my life.
I leave behind my loving husband Paul Martin; my two sons David James (wife Shawna) and Jeffrey Edward; my daughter Jennifer Ann; my five grandchildren; Kayla, Jamie, Meghan, Jordan and my sweet baby boy Paulie. My father, Richard Henry Ryan died in 1956. I also leave behind my precious mother Gertrude Ryan Bak and my stepfather Edward Bak (Richfield Springs), nine sisters and two brothers; Mary Ellen Ryan (Cicero), Betty Circelli (Port Orange, FL), Barbara Burton (Clifton Park), Frances Nolles (Watervilet), Suzanne Garbera (Richfield Springs), Sister M. Richard of Jesus Ryan (Germantown), Louis Ryan (De Witt, MI), Edward Bak, Jr. (Franklinville, NJ), Carol Ann Starr (Richfield Springs), Rose Marie DiRosa (Richfield Springs) and Mary Heinz (Binghamton).
For all those who knew and loved me, I encourage you to keep going and never give up."
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church in Cicero. Calling Hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
Carol requests in lieu of flowers that you make a memorial contribution in her name to Anna's Pantry at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero, (8229 Brewerton Rd., Cicero, NY 13039).
