Carmen Josephine Gallup

January 30, 1943 — April 26, 2021

Carmen Josephine Gallup, 78, of Syracuse, passed away on Monday at her home surrounded by her loving family. Carmen was born in Syracuse on January 30, 1943 daughter of the late Carmen and Alice Fernandez. Carmen worked as a home health aide for Hospice of CNY.

Carmen was predeceased by her husband, Robert James Gallup, brother, John Fernandez, Sr. and brother-in-law Matthew Fortino.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Gallup, son, Ricardo (Robin) Gallup, grandchildren, Samantha Gallup, Mark Sorrendino, Brittany (Michael) Hartman, great grandson, Jeremiah Huff, her brother, Ricardo Fernandez, sisters, Valetta Fortino, Maria Lupe (Steve) Fernandez-Smith, sister-in-law, Linda Fernandez, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday May 2nd from 1-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 3pm.
