Carmen Bobby Furco

Carmen Bobby Furco, 68, of Eastwood earned his wings and went to be with the Lord. Carmen passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Born the youngest son of Rose and Gregorio Furco on Aug. 26, 1941.
Carmen served in the US Army for 13 years. He graduated with a business degree from CCBI. He was previously employed at Stelican Lumber and Ethan Allen Manor House. He retired in 2004 after 32 years of service from New Process Gear, as a skilled trades carpenter. He enjoyed scuba diving, antique cars, spending time with his family and most of all, traveling to Florida with the love of his life Barbara his wife of 47 years. He was also a foster parent with Catholic Charities for 17 years. Carmen was loved by all who knew him. He was predeceased in death by his parents, his mother and father in-law, Ann and Loren Porter, sisters Pearl Buck, Grace Weir and Theresa Alling, brothers Michael and Joseph Furco.
Carmen is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara(Porter); daughters, Donna Furco of Liverpool, Joy (Jeremy) White of Pennellville; son, Loren Furco of Nedrow; nine grandchildren;; four great grandchildren; brothers, Gregory (Darlene Deyo) Furco and Samuel(Cathy) Furco; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Allan Weir; and his beloved cat "Kitty".
Services will be Monday, 10AM at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will follow at the Onon. Co. Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1-4PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
