Carleton Haynes, 85, of Syracuse, passed away December 23, 2017 after a brief illness. Carleton was born in West Monroe , New York on December 8, 1932 to the late Claude and Lucena Haynes. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Martha Haynes; two daughters, Deborah (Richard) Redhead, Vickie (Donald) Colabufo; son, Tracy (Melissa) Haynes; brother, O. Walter (Beverly) Haynes; a sister, Lucena Conklin; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and loving in-laws. He was predeceased by his first wife, Alice; two sons, Carleton Jr., and Richard Haynes; and brothers, Leon, William, Howard, Claude Jr., and Donald. Family and friends may call on Friday, from 2-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY, with a service at 4pm.
