Carl B. Salyer

Carl B. Salyer, 76, of Cicero, passed away January 3, 2025. Carl was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 22, 1948.

Carl was a veteran of the United States Army and Army National Guard with 20 years of faithful service. He retired from DFAS, Syracuse, where he was a Quality Assurance Inspector. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandsons. Carl was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ted B. Salyer and his mother, Norma Cobb. 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maryvonne Salyer; daughter, Michelle (Jorge) Silva; Son, Brian (Carrie) Salyer; four grandchildren, Ian Salyer, Carlos Silva, David Silva, Adam Salyer; two sisters, Valerie (Kenny) Lee, Valgetti Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse, where funeral services will be held Monday at 12:00 pm. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
