Carl R. Morris

Carl R. Morris, was born June 14th, 1949 in Paterson NJ, to Leo and Virginia Morris. He died July 22nd, 2022 at his summer home on Lake Ontario surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Carl retired from Anderson Equipment in 2015 where he was a diesel mechanic.

He was pre-deceased by his parents.

Carl is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lynn: children, Michelle (Jeff) Battles of Brewerton and Carrie (Justin) VanBuskirk of North Syracuse; grandchildren, Natalie and Michael Battles; brother Lee Morris of NJ; sister, Ginny Wayts of PA; and many nieces, nephews and close family friends.

The family finds comfort knowing that he is at peace and reunited with his favorite dog Ozzie. We would like to thank Crouse Irving ER/ ICU staff, The St. Joseph's cancer care team, New Haven Fire Department, HOACNY, especially Dr. Wong, Lauren and Susan from the Hematology/Oncology Department, his family physician, Dr. Freeman, and Kathy from Hospice for their excellent care. A special thanks to our neighbors who turned into family, Patty, Randie, Kelly and Matt.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 from 4-7PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals with a funeral service to follow. In lieu of flowers, Carl and family request that donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, "So no child has to go through what I did," New Haven Fire Department, Golisano Children's Hospital and Hospice of CNY (Liverpool).
