Carl M. Schaffer III, 58, of Brewerton, passed away on Thursday after a brief illness.
Carl graduated from Paul V. Moore High School in 1975 and started working at Crouse-Hinds in 1976 where he was employed until 2001. Most recently, Carl worked at AAA. Carl enjoyed travelling outside of the United States.
Carl was predeceased by his grandmother, Maude Kertulis.
He is survived by his parents, Jacqueline (Reakes) and Carl Schaffer, Jr.; brother, Richard (Debra) Schaffer; sister, Tammy (Bill) West; nieces, Trina (Wayne), Tracey, Nikki and Carri; great nieces, Mikayla and Addison; great-nephews, Paxton and Kayden; several aunts and uncles; and Uncle Carl's best friend, Lily.
Calling hours will be Monday 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse with a service to follow at 7PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Golisano Children's Hospital, 1 Childrens Circle, Syracuse, NY 13210.
