Carl A. Badgley Jr., 81, of Central Square, passed away on Friday after a long illness.
Carl was born on January 29, 1938, in Syracuse, the son of the late Carl, Sr. and Lillian Mae (McCallister).
Carl was employed at Marsellus Casket Company for several years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid bowler. He coached several youth baseball teams and served as an umpire for many softball and hardball teams. With the help of Ancestry.com, his niece, Debbie Boylan, helped him find his long lost family.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia; two sons, Francis (Quanitsha) Badgley & Clifford (Lauri) Badgley; grandson, Daniel Badgley; step-grandchildren, Brittany (Brian) Wilmot, Brandon (Ashley) Riley and four step great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 20, from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
