Carl V. Austin, Jr., 69, passed away on Saturday at his home with his loving family by his side.
Carl was born on March 29, 1947 the son of the late Carl, Sr. and Sarah Austin.
Carl served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and he was a very proud Marine,… Oorah!
Carl enjoyed classic cars, listening to the oldies, and he had a joking, tell it like it is personality.
Carl is survived by his, beloved wife, Merri of 56 years, his children, Carl V. Austin, III, Timothy M. Austin (Ericka), Tammy L. (Dale) Gau, Kimberly A. Lazo, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews and siblings, Cherie (Laud) Baskin, Lynn Austin, Candy (Don) Vermette, Charmy Austin. As well as many friends and his best friend, Al Whitmarsh. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ben Austin, Larry Austin, 2 grandsons, Carl V. Austin, IV, Anders J. Austin, and Connie Williams.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 8pm.
