Carl Anthony

Carl Anthony, 86, of North Syracuse, passed away Friday at the VA Hospital. A native of Syracuse, he graduated from Solvay High School, and served in WW II as a seaman 1st class with the Navy. He was an electrician, working 22 years with GE and 14 years with R.E. Dietz. Carl was a member of the American Legion and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
The eldest of 7 children, Carl was predeceased by his brothers, Pat and Tony; by his sisters, Lou Aurelli, Marion Sarna and Anita Marra; and by his daughter, Carol Marie Keenan.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maryann; three sons, Michael, of Indianapolis, Jeffrey, of N. Syracuse and Chris, of Cicero; two daughters, Linda Conley, of Central Square and Therese Litcher, of Myrtle Beach; his sister, Maryjane Lostumbo, of Syracuse; and by 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. All will miss him.
Relatives and friends may call today from 3 to 6 p.m. at the New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with a memorial service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Syracuse.
