Callie E. Benware

Callie E. Benware, 68, of Fulton, passed away on Monday, May 16th at her home surrounded by family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Callie was born in Tupper Lake, NY on September 19, 1953 daughter of the late Maynard and Iona Leroux. Callie was very devoted and protective of her family. She enjoyed fishing, especially out-fishing her husband Bruce. She could be found every weekend at the table playing cards or dice with everyone. Another hobby she had was watching the wildlife outside the window.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Benware, daughters, Stacy (Buster) Hall, Nicole Mace, 3 step-children; Christine Danussi, Rachel (Bill) Dechene, Derric Benware, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister, Laurie Leroux, brother, Gary (Vicki) Leroux, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Marcy Craven.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 6pm.
