Bruce M. Knapp, 72, of E. Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at his home surrounded by his loving family and his cat Brook. He was born February 6, 1940 in Syracuse a son of Millard and Mildred Shafer Knapp. On March 25, 1999 he married Peggy Davis Guyette in Syracuse. He last worked at General Crushed Stone and for AMSA. Bruce enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his wife Peggy, sister, Janet Brunman, two sons; Charles (Wendy) and Ron (Phyllis) Knapp, 3 daughters; Sue Smith, Kim (Ron) Sargent, Diana Beeles, 24 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 9-11am at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY or to the Francis House.
