Brian James Hitchcock, 43, youngest son of William and Kathleen Hitchcock passed away November 28th, 2020.
He was a warmhearted fiance, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed. Brian was a Liverpool High School class of 96' graduate, who enthusiastically worked evenings at the local Mobil Gas station. Following his time at SUNY Alfred, Brian returned home to become a Special Education teaching assistant at the Liverpool High School Annex. He passionately dedicated not only two decades of his life to his students, but humbly ensured that their needs were met both inside and outside of the classroom. His colleagues and students held a special place in his heart as family. In August of 2020, he proposed to his cherished girlfriend of 8 years, Heather Knapp, and they joyfully shared their lives with their two labrador retrievers, Blu and Tex. Brian generously gave as much of his spare time as he could by selflessly helping others. He was known for his enormous heart, and never hesitated to prioritize the needs of others over his own. All you had to do was ask, and he could build or fix just about anything with his trusted companion- Labatt Blue. Some of Brian's favorite activities were construction projects, boating, hunting, and four-wheeling. He felt most in his element being outdoors and shared his infectious joy and laughter with his family, friends, and dogs. Brian's legacy will be best remembered for his clever wit, sarcastic sense of humor, and outgoing personality. He had a warm welcoming smile and cared deeply about absolutely anyone that was lucky enough to meet him.
Brian is survived by his fiance Heather Knapp of Liverpool, his parents, William and Kathleen of Liverpool, his sister Deborah of Baldwinsville, his sister Cheri (David) Modeen, his brother Bill (Leslie) of Livonia, as well as nieces and nephews Delaney, Emily, Abbey, Bill, Mitch, and Molly.
